As I continue to give you, my Ancient Stone Mysteries Newsletter subscribers, the chapters of my audiobook as they’re produced, I didn’t want to neglect to also bring you some additional, exclusive field research material I’ve been planning to serve up.

Ancient Stone Mysteries is a reader-supported publication. To receive new posts and support my work, consider becoming a free or upgrading to a paid subscriber.

On my trip to a Hollow near Richmond, Vermont at the start of this month, I not only took in the stone prayers, I also revisited the Head of a possible Serpent Row which rests next to a Stone Circle of boulders, and a couple of other possible Serpent Head shaped boulders no longer attached to prominent stone rows.

Here’s some exclusive video of that possible Serpent Row. Not included in the Possible Stone Prayers in the Snow video:

The snow gives everything a different look — abstract designs and shapes more visible in outline. Still… I’m not sure the Boulders’ Stone Circle stands out as much as I’d like.

Two solo boulders both had tapered ends that gave them the proper shape for use as Serpent Head forms. The low one may be a part of an older, buried boulder row that appears to run alongside a stream at the base of a boulder field. The other stands alone, though it is near a couple of stone rows. An old logging road runs up behind it, and the current wide trail runs in front. If it was attached to a stone row, it’s long since been displaced.

There’s video of these two boulders and the Stone Circle of boulders, below, for paid subscribers. Which reminds me, I do hope you’re enjoying this Ancient Stone Mysteries Newsletter whether you’re a paid or a free subscriber, and that there’s a good balance of material for everyone. If you’re not a subscriber? I hope you’ll consider signing up.

And? Share your feedback with me. Ask any questions you might have. Let me know if there are sites you’d like to see covered. Or re-covered. Or Topics and Subjects you’d like to see explained or addressed. My hope is to share what I’ve been learning with as many open-minded people as possible who might care to consider these new — yet ancient — ideas about stonework in the Northeast of what’s now North America.
